Bad spellers tragetted in genuis Snickers campiagn



Snickers and AMV BBDO have done it again. Here is yet another example of a brilliantly thought out marketing idea and execution.

Partnering with Google, they developed an extremely clever and way to find bad typers (paging: Stephen Brander) and help them understand why they suck at spelling.

Realizing that many rely on Google to correct bad spelling for them, thousands of commonly misspelled words were isolated and bought up as adwords so when they were typed into Google search, a custom message would be served up telling them to "Grab yourself a Snikkers... Yu cant spel properlie wen hungrie."

Damn smart I say.
